80th Anniversary of the Dieppe Raid

Stories and information about those from Toronto who were killed in action, taken Prisoner of War, on the home front
and those who returned home as veterans,
​will be unveiled in a display and told by relatives.
The display will also be available online at
 toronto.ca/Dieppe80

The City of Toronto marked the
80th Anniversary of the Dieppe Raid on August 19, 2022 with
​2 commemorative ceremonies >Old City Hall Cenotaph O8:OOhrs.- at East York Civic Centre Cenotaph 18:OOhrs.
The ceremony continued onto
​Dieppe Park which included the unveiling of 14 posters displayed telling the stories and information by their relatives about those killed from Toronto in Action, taken Prisoner of War, on the home front and those who returned home as veterans.


The display will also be available online at toronto.ca/Dieppe80

To reach the audience that utilizes the Civic Centre the City has posted:

A large poster that promotes the display in Dieppe Park
(the park is less than 1 km away from the Civic Centre -approximately a 10 minute walk),
and includes a QR code that links to our website 
toronto.ca/Dieppe80 which has the same
​

information as the panels and additional content will be

on an easel at the entrance into the
East York Civic Centre
